Range Safety Analyst
Responsibilities
- Inert debris impact prediction: Using analysis tools to predict the impact points of inert debris resulting from missile malfunction or flight termination action.
- Probabilistic risk analysis: Studies to determine the statistical risk to the public or mission essential personnel due to impact of inert debris resulting from missile malfunction or flight termination action.
- Development of missile flight safety risk mitigation approaches such as flight termination limit lines, hazard, or caution areas, or predicted impact areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related fields
- Minimum GPA of 3.5
- Programming experience with MATLAB and Python
- Knowledge of C++ or Fortran is a plus
- Active US Security Clearance
- Experience with flight safety
- Strong drive for continued learning
