Job description

Elkridge ASC is seeking a licensed x-ray tech to operate our C-arm in our Operating Room and procedure room on a per diem basis. Experience a must.

X-ray Technologist Duties:

• Exhibit strong customer service skills in daily interaction with the public, patients, staff, and physicians in the performance of job duties.
• Perform satisfactory x-rays using Digital Radiography equipment
• Follow all Federal and State guidelines in accordance with radiation and radiation units
• Utilize computer software programs, as needed, to communicate and understand patient needs (i.e. scheduling, EMR, etc)
• Provide copy of x-ray images on either paper, electronic, CD, or other mode as needed
• Gather patient data and medical history and assist in the intake/rooming of patients.
• Participate in planning and evaluation of patient care by communicating all information pertinent to the patient's status.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and assists to ensure orderliness of the examination and treatment rooms.
• Provide for patient's comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Report all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist patients in preparation for medical exams and/or procedures. Keep patients comfortable during waiting time.
• Assist in patient flow in and around clinical area
• Provide patient care during clinic visits according to policies and procedures.
• Adheres to Elkridge ASC policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned

X-ray Technologist Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited program in x-ray technology or its equivalent
• Licensed as a Radiographer in the State of Maryland
• Ability to take necessary x-rays, position patients, and notify physicians when questionable results are found
• Experience with computer applications necessary for collection of patient data and translation of x-rays

Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
