Radiographic Level II Technician
Job description
Element is looking for those who want to continue to grow and develop their careers in the NDT world. Element Rancho Dominguez also offers ross training in UT, PT, Etch, and Magnetic testing.
Salary: $28-$35/hr
Ability to work 2nd shift is a big plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct radiography (X-ray) tests in accordance with written company procedures
- Prepare test specimens, setup, and adjust test equipment
- Experience utilizing industry specifications such as: ASTM, Boeing, GE, Honeywell and Pratt Familiarity with testing codes and standards and possess the ability to interpret codes and specifications
- Ability to accurately analyze and interpret test data with the ability to report the test results in a clear and well written manner
- Maintain related test equipment and tools in good working condition
- Complete assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Radiography Level 2 technician per NAS 410 testing Aerospace castings
- Must have (or have the ability to get) IRRSP
- Approved 40-hour Radiation Safety
- ASNT Level I and Level II class room hours and recorded on the job training hours
- Possess great organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to document NDT results well
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
