Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for aQuality Control Technicianto work from ourKeystone Pretzelmanufacturing facility located inLititz, PAonFirst Shift.

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for monitoring product to assure it meets required specifications and is scheduled to work Monday – Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Run necessary tests to analyze raw and finished product for correct weight, moisture content, caustic, shape, color and amount of salt.
• Inspect individual bags for excess breakage, acceptable color, salt amount, sufficient air cushion in bag, proper seal with no leaks or bent corners.
• Inspect individual bags for correct product codes, labels and weights.
• Inspect cartons for correct number of bags per carton.
• Insure that tape seals on carton have correct coding information as specified by the customer.
• Record all information on the correct forms.
• Notify necessary personnel immediately of any problems or errors and follow-up to ensure required changes are made.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.

• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

• Responsible for ensuring food safety in all actions and responsibilities
• Follows food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF System
• Follows instructions and training for reporting of food safety problems to appropriate personnel

• Good working knowledge of basic mathematics and statistics.
• Must be safety conscious and accurate in working in lab environment during the preparation of chemical solutions and test samples.
• Mechanical aptitude/knowledge helpful.
• Good organizational and communication skills required; must be able to work with all levels of associates.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand sufficient English to communicate with supervisors and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills helpful for inputting and summarizing quality control data.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
