Aero Instruments and Avionics, Inc. is an FAA Certified Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft, instruments, and avionics. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for oversight of all quality assurance activities to include regulatory compliance, and/or product quality control.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensure all revisions to the Repair Station Manual are coordinated with the appropriate Aero personnel the FAA, and distribute revisions to the manual
· Maintain the repair station roster in accordance with the Repair Station Manual
· Maintain access to and familiarity with pertinent CFRs and FAA Airworthiness Directives relative to the work performed by the repair station
· Respond appropriately to any request for inspection of Aero’s repair station’s certificate
· Annually perform an internal audit of Aero’s repair station
· Administer the Corrective Action Program
· Serve as Management Representative for Aero’s AS9110-compliant QMS
· Design and maintain the Vendor Audit Program
· Be responsible for the Contract Maintenance Program
· Ensure the successful implementation and operation of Aero’s training program
· Ensure the successful operation of Aero’s calibration program
· Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Minimum 2 years’ ISO 9001 experience or equivalent standard
· Has practical experience (or formal education) in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, fixtures, and test/ repair equipment used in technical
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
· Has strong analytical, problem solving, planning, organizing, time management, excellent communication, conflict management, and leadership skills
· Must possess professional business acumen, stress tolerance, and be able to create a team-oriented environment that is adaptable to changing demands to produce and maintain efficiency
· Self-motivated
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
· Ability to function well in a highly regulated and detail-oriented environment
· High school diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge and training with regard to AS9110 standard and formal training in performing an AS-compliant audit
· Thoroughly familiar with the aviation related CFRs and understands current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer, Airworthiness Directive, customer specifications, etc.
· 2 years practical experience in aviation component maintenance
· Aerospace, automotive or electronics experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
