General Summary of the Position
To oversee the completion of all planned QC activities for site and prepare & compile the needed QC documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities *(following are accountabilities included but not limited to):

• Generate and or maintain all documents related to inspections and testing
• Verify dimensional accuracy of concrete placement
• Coordinate NDE and maintain weld / heat number maps
• Perform visual inspections on B31.3 piping welds
• Inspects mechanical piping installations for compliance to applicable Codes, standards and specifications
• Oversees Welder Performance Qualification Testing
• Works closely with the Site Superintendent to ensure quality is being maintained and inspections are kept commensurate with production.
• Identifies and reports Nonconformances as well as verifies the implementation of corrective actions
• Reports any concerns or issues to the QA Manager.

• Ability to exercise good judgment when carrying out duties and to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Ability to see details at a close range.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Advanced mechanical skills a plus.
• Current AWS CWI desirable but not required with adequate experience

Education, Training and Experience:*

• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Context:*

• Based in the field but may travel from time to time to assist other locations.
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and other particles.

• Must be able to work in elevated areas.
• Noise level is generally loud.
