Our consulting firm is in search of an Accounting Supervisor who possesses an entrepreneurial mindset to help grow our Property Management Accounting Department and ensure client satisfaction. Our clients are mainly involved in property management and ownership, thus having experience with property accounting would be advantageous. The role entails performing and or daily bank account reconciliations, accounts payable, security deposit accounting and accrual basis month-end close procedures while also leading a team to execute the same tasks. The job may also entail collaborating with the client's team to educate them on accounting processes. The Accounting Supervisor will use cloud-based accounting software programs to process business transactions. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in accounting procedures, possess a strong affinity for technology, and contribute to ensuring our clients' accounting processes operate with precision, efficiency, and dependability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and data entry support to clients
  • Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts in a timely manner
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Operate in accordance with established processes and procedures
  • Ensure client satisfaction

Skills

  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting systems procedures
  • Experience with property management accounting is required
  • Experience with AppFolio preferred. Property Management accounting systems experience REQUIRED
  • Intermediate Excel skills are a must, including being comfortable with analyzing large sets of data, using formulas and / or pivot tables to efficiently complete tasks
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well organized
  • Ability to lead a team
  • The capacity to collaborate directly with clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
