The Property Accountant reports to the Corporate Controller and manages accounting functions for all properties and entities. This role is integral to the team as it provides support to property managers and financial guidance to executive leadership. This is a full-time position reporting to the corporate office with minimal travel requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee cash disbursements and monitor daily cash balances
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including W9s, COIs, and payment methods
• Support the property management team to ensure accurate deposit, accounts receivable/payable, revenue, and expense transactions and provide training as needed
• Monthly reconciliation of intracompany transactions
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements reporting packages.
• Assist with preparation of annual operating and development budgets and balance sheet schedules
• Monitor annual property taxes and business licenses
• Assist special projects and other tasks as assigned
• Has a “can do” productive self‐motivated attitude, demonstrates initiative, and suggests improved processes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field
• Four years of related experience in a finance or accounting role, experience in property accounting preferred
• Expert-level skills with Excel and standard accounting software
• Superb communication, organizational, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate discretion
