The Central Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for leading execution and approval of customer-impacting, complex launches and projects. We partner closely with colleagues from Customer Service, Engineering, Network Deployment and Operations, Sales and Marketing, Legal, Government Relations, Human Resources, and Communications. We protect the customer experience by assuring every priority project considers customer impact, contact volume, truck roll impact, and comprehensive field certification testing.
Role Description (and additional job description)
The Senior Program Manager will help build 'one team' across Fiber by assuring all cross-functional groups work as one unit towards common goals. In this role you will partner on cross-product and cross-team initiatives, working closely with cross-functional team members. As you partner with team members you will work to refine and develop our projects all the way from ideation, development, and training, to testing to full market launches. On a day to day basis you will be on-the-ground executing complex projects that bring internet access to people. Most importantly, you're having fun, thriving in ambiguity, and enjoying being part of a great team!
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity, customer impact and scope, with a wide range of cross-functional partners.
- Present weekly project updates to organizational and executive leadership to ensure we meet project deadlines
- Drive project delivery, build consensus and challenge proposals when appropriate.
- Oversee system readiness testing, or "SRT" and market readiness testing or "MRT".
- Anticipate and creatively solve or escalate roadblocks when they arise
- Create executive reporting within a given template and timing cycle.
Minimum Qualifications (MQs)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of project management, product management, operations or consulting experience.
- Experience presenting to executives and managing detailed minutiae with subject matter experts.
- Direct experience creating multiple program project plans simultaneously and active management of program risks, action items, issues, dependencies and decisions logs.
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- 5+ Years of experience within the telecommunications industry
- MBA, Bachelor's degree or a PMP Certification.
- Experience in deploying data and/or communications products to commercial or consumer customers.
- Experience tracking successful processes to determine current process states, and facilitating cross-functional process re-design sessions for improved efficiency, reduced costs, risk mitigation, etc.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $160 K - $235 K + bonus + equity + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
