What we are looking for:

The Independent Living (IL) Program Manager is responsible for working closely with the IL Director to develop the overall program vision and ensure quality programs and employee deliverables. Oversees the IL program's day-to-day operations by providing daily interaction with employees to ensure progress and manages consumer concerns. Ensures IL programs meet all state and federal compliance standards, and the philosophy, mission, goals, and core values of the Independence Center are maintained. Maintains positive relationships with partnering agencies by providing information and representation for The Independence Center.

What you bring to the table:

  • Ensure the philosophy, mission, and goals of the Independent Living programs are maintained.
  • Work with the Director of IL to develop strategies to ensure quality programming, growth and business objectives are met.
  • Oversee day-to-day program activities to include employee management, orientation/training of new employees, and ongoing training of employees.
  • Have a strong understanding of the CILSuite database to support employees and ensure quality documentation of goals and services.
  • Maintain relationships with the state and other community partners to advocate for people with disabilities and ensure program quality.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and make changes to processes and procedures.
  • Tactful, diplomatic, and empathetic with good listening skills and an approachable personality.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and works within the confines of HIPPA regulations.
  • The capacity to empower individuals to advocate for themselves to maximize independence.
  • Regular investment in the development and coordination of FFS programs throughout Independent Living programming.
  • Ensure that high level support is offered to all IL Team members; to include planning and implementation of meetings, Team accommodations and program/ event support.
  • Inform, assist in application and manage program grants, including maintaining compliance and timely reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, related field.
  • Three years of leadership/managerial experience.
  • Experience with developing and monitoring program budgets and grants.
  • Ability to travel within Colorado Springs and surrounding counties to meet with individuals and groups, to present information and training.
  • Proficient with computers, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom.
