Holman has an outstanding opportunity for a Production Scheduler to join our team in Ft. Wayne, IN.
The Production Scheduler will plan production schedules involving printing, finishing, quality control, purchasing, material planning, estimating and shipping and receiving activities, effectively utilizing available resources to meet plans for customer stock and make and sell product shipping and stock needs. Other duties as assigned by the General Manager as well.
What will you do?
Create & maintain production schedule in order to efficiently balance the use of resources, satisfy customer requirements, and effectively manage risks to production.
Work closely with production teams to monitor plant performance & status, assist with solving problems, and provide critical input on the identification of resource bottlenecks that impact production.
Work closely with external stakeholders (sales & account management) to maintain a clear understanding of customer expectations & priorities as well as upcoming sales opportunities. Incorporate these into the schedule while providing advance notice to stakeholders on delivery concerns.
Monitor status of current & upcoming work to ensure progress according to plan while addressing variances and contingencies in real time.
In conjunction with Supply Chain team, determine raw material requirements and status of necessary components to support production schedule.
Generate reporting, visuals and statistics necessary to intuitively communicate performance and production status to production team, sales, and customers while being prepared to educate stakeholders on the use & interpretation of this info.
Work with internal and external customers to plan first-article, demo, or pilot vehicles and the related customer meetings into the overall schedule.
Participate in daily production meetings or project meetings to ensure scheduling information and project responsibilities are communicated appropriately to all stakeholders, being prepared to lead meetings as needed.
Participate & Lead Operations Continuous Improvement Projects to continuously enhance performance.

What are we looking for?
BA or BS degree plus 2 years of planning and/or scheduling experience in an industrial production environment.
Demonstrated competency in computer software to include databases, spreadsheets, and word processing and MRP/ERP systems.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Program Planner/Scheduler.
Strong understanding of Project Management concepts and best practices.
Advanced capability and experience with MS Office, especially Excel.
Experience with resource loading and capacity planning theories and concepts.
Preferred:
APIC Certification is a plus.
PMP Certification is a plus.
