Essential Functions:*

*
Oversee the case erector and case packaging machines at speeds consistent with established guidelines.

*
Troubleshoot mechanical problems and coordinate with Production Supervisor, Line Leader, and maintenance to resolve issues.

*
Operator must rotate positions (In and Out FGO 2-8)

*
Perform routine checks to ensure proper cases are being used. Discard sub-standard boxes in designated bin.

*
Comprehend rework process. Re-work product that is put on hold and ability to reconcile paperwork.

*
Verify codes according to routing. Verify case codes/batch codes are legible and complete. Monitor code date for accuracy and fill out appropriate code date audit sheets.

• Package according to product specifications.

*
Maintain adequate levels of tape, cases, and miscellaneous items as required.

*
Maintain sanitation and housekeeping levels in accordance with plant guidelines.

*
Ability to communicate with Production Supervisor, PMO, Maintenance, General Assemblers on an ongoing basis concerning operational issues that affect productivity and efficiency.

*
Ensure stacking of pallets is in specification with product protocol.

*
Ensure metal detection is operational by performing checks. Complete HACCP sheet and enter metal detector data in computer system.

*
Order, issue, and return raw materials. Print pallet tickets and label pallets for return.

*
Set up back of the line for product changeover.

*
Fill out Exception reports, Production Tally Sheets, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

*
Operate and troubleshoot case erector, case packer, case taper, robot, case weigher, conveyors, pallet wrapper, and code date machine.

*
Coordinate work assignment/placement for employees in the back of the line.

*
Print pallet ticket for finished goods.

*
Perform sanitation on assigned equipment and work area. Must be able to perform Assembly/Operation/Disassembly procedures.

*
Follow proper GMP and safety guidelines.

*
Complete established operator checklists.

*
Other Job Duties:*

Work area will be maintained in a safe and clean environment at all times.

*
Coordinate work duties with your Production Supervisor during down time.

*
All other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

*
Working Conditions*

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, food fumes, airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and loud noise levels.

Job Qualification Requirements

• *

Mental*

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• *

Ability to read, comprehends, and communicates in basic English and interacts with all levels of the organization.*

• *

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions with minimal guidance, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.*

Strong ability to work independently or/and with others.*

• *

Skill and Knowledge*

• Experience in a manufacturing setting operating machinery preferred.

Experience on multiple lines

*
Knowledge of sanitation on designated equipment.

*
Maintain equipment re-certification as required.

*
Maintain quality audit certification as required.

*
Maintain forklift re-certification as required.

*
Computer literacy.
