Title: Director of Production Services

Status: Full-time / Exempt

Schedule: Monday- Friday / 8AM- 4PM

Salary: $70k - $80k

Summary: The Director of Production Services is responsible for the general oversite of the Production and Custodial departments at Oswego Industries, Inc. They ensure these departments are running efficiently while maintaining quality standards and cost projections. The Director of Production Services implements industry best practices and maintains compliance with all applicable federal and state standards. Working under the general direction of the CEO, the Director of Production Services is responsible for business development and seeing through the Agency’s strategic plan.

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversees all business operations of the Production and Custodial departments, including supervision of staff, customer satisfaction, scheduling, safety, and related processes for the lines of business held by Oswego Industries, Inc.
• Generates new business opportunities to support an integrated workforce.
• Implements new contracts, and ensures documented procedures, quality measures, and job-specific regulations or requirements are created and implemented. Assures accurate measures of labor and technological capacity available for business demands are maintained and updated as needed.
• Ensures Quality Management System(s) are maintained and/or implemented where necessary.
• Works closely with respect to all new products and services to guarantee a continuous flow of work that is meaningful and offers total customer satisfaction.
• Participates in long-range planning with the CEO and the entire administrative team; preserving operational stability and continually seeking opportunities for growth.
• Participates in departmental budget preparation and monitoring. Evaluate and monitor fiscal data to ensure sound fiscal management.
• Maintains compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA, NYSDOL, NYSID, and Source America.
• Makes recommendations on capital equipment investment necessary to support strategic sales growth.
• Works closely with Purchasing, Human Resources, Safety, and Finance to maximize and maintain workforce, customer, and vendor relationships.
• Has the ability to put together competent teams that can successfully fulfill contractual obligations.

Education and Experience

• Associates Degree in business, or a related field with three years of experience in overseeing production and manufacturing. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience with NYSID and Ability One contracts preferred.
• Experience working for a non-profit organization preferred.
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
