FuseFX is seeking a talented Production Coordinator, with a background in television and/or feature film VFX, to join our creative team in New York!
The Production Coordinator is responsible for assisting Production Management with resource planning and department workflow. He/she should have an understanding of the entire visual effects process and have experience leveraging this knowledge for creating effective and efficient resource plans.
FuseFX is an award-winning Visual Effects Studio providing visual effects services for episodic television, feature films, commercials, virtual productions, and VR. Founded in 2006, the company employs 1200+ personnel across eight studio locations and three brands. Our flagship studio is in Los Angeles, CA, with locations in New York City, Vancouver, BC., and Atlanta. Our Montreal, Toronto, and Bogota studios are serviced by FOLKS VFX, who joined FuseFX in 2020. The Adelaide, Australia studio is serviced by Rising Sun Pictures, who joined FuseFX in 2021.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Manager with the resource planning across all projects in the office
- Manage artist status and help communicate task priorities and resource availability to artists and producing teams
- Liaison between supervisors, producers, artists, and other departments to ensure smooth communication
- Ensure information in the database is accurate and up to date
- Assist the Human Resources Manager in artist resourcing and outreach
- Conduct daily walk-through of artist task activities, workloads, and schedules
- Generate weekend schedules and coverage
- Take detailed notes and creating action items from weekly production meetings
- Improve and innovate existing workflows and production tools
Traits of a successful FuseFX Production Coordinator:
- 2 years’ minimum experience in entertainment or a related field
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly under pressure
- Desire to learn and grow as a department facing production resource
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft office
