Job Summary:

The responsibilities of the Production Assistant/Cellar Hand are to perform general winery work that includes equipment sanitation, general winery cleaning, barrel sanitation, racking, receive and process fruit, manage fermentations, press, and bottle while maintaining company quality and safety standards. Experience working with technical equipment is a plus, and we are more than willing to train the right candidate on the specific needs and stands of winery work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists in receiving and processing of fruit, sorting, pressing, and all harvest-related tasks
• Cleaning and sanitation of winery, equipment, and barrels.
• General cellar housekeeping and sanitation
• Juice racking, and wine movements from tank to tank, barrel to barrel, and barrel to tank
• Barrel filling, topping, stirring, and racking
• Executing winemaking requests with minimal guidance
• Must be able to work long hours + weekends during harvest

Required Education and/or Experience:

• College degree preferred, but not required
• Experience maintaining and repairing equipment preferred
• 1-2 years of general winery or oil field experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to pass forklift certification training.
• Must be 18+ years old, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, occasional twists/turns, bends, kneels, overhead reaches, and climbs.
• Able to work at various heights (ex. Ladders and raised catwalk)
• Must perform physically strenuous tasks including lifting heavy objects (60+ lbs)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
