What will you be responsible for?
As an integral member of Epson’s industrial robotics product management team, you will be responsible for product management across Latin America. This role will focus on bringing new automation products to market, building creative marketing programs and messaging to accelerate market awareness and sales opportunities with our end users and channel partners, and collaboratively engaging internal and external stakeholders (including Epson’s parent company Seiko Epson Corporation) to drive forward new initiatives, develop new products and advance our business objectives.
What will you be doing?
- Work closely with Marketing Communications, Documentation, Applications Engineering/Support, Product Development, Logistics, SEC (Seiko Epson Corporation, Japan), and other groups to manage the product throughout its lifecycle.
- With some guidance, establish structured processes for a complete product launch for assigned product(s).
- Collaborate with sales and logistics organizations to optimize product forecast and product procurement.
- Drive Latin channel demand creation through engagement activities and training with sales managers and channel partners (distribution and system integrators).
- Translation of sales & marketing content from English to Spanish (and Portuguese).
- Make recommendations regarding positioning and pricing of assigned product(s) in designated region(s).
- Provide recommendations and implementation support for key programs, advertising and promotions strategies and tactics for assigned product(s).
- Serve as internal and external PR spokesperson and product champion for assigned product(s).
- Support the company at events, including sales meetings, trade shows and virtual events.
- Support the sales team in customer visits, presentations, and various support material and program creation.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking and make recommendations.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with industry trade groups, analysts, and publications.
- Manage end of product lifecycle and transition to minimize inventory and ensure launch time frames are met.
- Operate within budgetary constraints by participating in the development of annual and quarterly budget forecasts.
- Participate in updating and reconciling operating and budget plans.
- Develop and maintain written departmental standards and procedures.
- Provide input into the development of product road maps for assigned product(s).
- Coordinate with SEC to monitor product development process and makes product improvement and new product recommendations for meeting market needs to product management team.
- Conduct and analyze market information and provides interpretation.
- Build strong relationships with peers, associated internal Epson teams, and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives.
- Manage and leverage relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc.).
- Maintain professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations.
- Requires some specialist and/or business experience (2- 5 years).
- Prior Product Management or related business experience required.
- Automation and/or robotics industry experience is a plus.
- Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.).
- MBA or equivalent education/experience is a plus.
- This role requires written and verbal fluency in both Spanish and English. Fluency in Portuguese is a plus.
- All Travel - Up to 25%.
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $97,461 and $184,658. Please note that this position salary range includes multiple levels. The actual level and base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
