Develop and run Efficacy tests and perform product development tasks to develop new CIP (clean in place) parlor cleaning formulations and new Teat Dip formulations. Candidate will assist and coordinate efforts to commercialize the new formulations with the priorities established in conjunction with Product Management and R&D management. This position must work with Project Management, QA, Manufacturing, Field Test Coordinator, Marketing, Legal and Sales,

• Performs Efficacy testing in Micro laboratory
• Develops new microbiological test methods when needed.
• Formulates new teat dips and CIP formulas.
• Coordinates the commercialization of new formulas to commercialization
• Follows and uses the Product Development Process, including Project Manager Responsibilities, when required.
• Responsible for preparing product development marketing specifications and project justifications.
• Coordinate with the Product Management Group, Technical Specialist efforts, including, technical specifications, product profiles, technical bulletins and training material. Help direct Technical Specialists’ efforts to implement and monitor laboratory and field tests.
• Liaison with both internal and external manufacturing and purchasing departments to promote global corporate strategies.
• Collaborate with corporate departments including sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions and standardization responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Liaison with dairy industry professionals and industry organizations (including colleges and universities) to represent GEA Farm Technologies as a leader in the dairy industry and promote policies and programs, which represent the best interest of GEA Farm Technologies.
• Prepares and adheres to Hygiene budget, assuring NAM/LAM corporate financial and growth goals are achieved and maximizing profitability within each market – customer segment.
• Seek out new vendor relationships for development and distribution of products, which could add to the GEA Farm Technologies sales opportunities worldwide. Support Supply Chain management to coordinate all outside supply vendor contacts, training, and support issues.

Qualification / Education Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• BA / BS or Master’s degree in Microbiology, or equivalent
• 2 - 5 years’ experience in running microbiology tests
• Experienced in microbiologic techniques
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must have clear and concise communication skills
• Ability to think and work independently
• Must be a team player
• 10-30% travel, including Canada
