Summary of Position
  • Drive the development of new solutions, which include products, services, capabilities and programs for the organization
across all Commercial lines of business and geographic segments.
  • Lead competitive strategy intelligence gathering and management, in addition to product ideation and strategy for Individual,
Essential Plan, Small Group, and Large Group go-to-market solutions for NY, CT and NJ. This includes rate and network
compositions.
  • Design cohesive product-provider network solutions across all enterprises, from national networks to narrow network
solutions. This includes any research and conceptualization for NJ expansion.
  • Drive strategic implementation, operational rollout and general project management of new solution go-live initiatives. ROI
and formal Business Case and PPM process following.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Manage Product Ideation and Development Strategy across all enterprise commercial segments from competitive
intelligence management, to filing, to implementation rollout.
  • Partner with Sales/ Distribution and Business Segments (Group and Individual).
  • Work with other teams across the organization (Legal, Compliance, Sales, etc.), through the deployment of an E2E
Product Development Process. Areas of responsibility include Product Innovation, Product Design, Product Strategy,
Customer Experience, Performance Criteria (metrics & reporting), Implementation Oversight, Product
Communications, Funding Alternatives, Compliance, Collaterals, Training and other key activities.
  • Product Innovation – lead consumer/market research, analytics, competitive assessments, regulatory, data
analysis/modeling, voice of the customer feedback, sale/account team feedback, Operations/Customer Service,
partner alternatives, Vendor solutions and other areas.
  • Interface with other areas/teams – Legal, Compliance, Actuarial, Procurement, Vendor Management, Operations, IT,
Marketing, Communications, Sales, Account Management, Proposal/Sales Support, Clinical, Underwriting, ACP,
Network, Regulatory/Government Affairs, Pharmacy Management, EPMO and other areas.
  • Manage oversight of regulatory annual filing and mailings.
Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, Finance, HealthCare Administration or related field;
Master’s degree or Designation (MPH, MHA) preferred.
Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 5 – 8+ years of relevant, professional work experience, preferably in a health care environment. (R)
  • Strong analytical and project leadership skills. (R)
  • Product Experience (development & management) across a diverse range of products and funding. (R)
  • Strong communication skills. (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal). (R)
  • Collaboration and operational effectiveness skills. (R)
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously with competing priority levels/deadlines. (R)
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.). (R)
