Senior Product Designer

• Full-time On-site (New York) New York, New York
• Salary: $130k - $180k, Equity: 0.05% – 0.5%

This is an on-site role at our New York office

Company mission: Our Company's mission is to empower self-storage operators to grow their independent and family-owned businesses in the face of massive institutionalization.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Designer to join us on this exciting journey. In this role, you will take ownership of projects from start to finish while leading various UX initiatives. Your responsibilities will include running design sprints, conducting customer research, content mapping, sketching, wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, and leading stakeholder reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Own projects from start to finish, leading UX initiatives such as design sprints, customer problem exploration, and prototyping.
• Collaborate with product researchers to develop customer empathy and advocate for their needs, utilizing data as a valuable tool in informing your work.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, researchers, and developers to build and ship designs, ensuring effective cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Provide constructive feedback to peers, contributing to the growth and success of the team and the overall product.
• Deliver high-quality work efficiently, maintaining a balance between speed and value creation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in tech/startup or product design, or equivalent.
• 3+ years successful startups experience
• Proficiency in Figma, demonstrating mastery of the tool.
• Experience in building and shipping applications or software.
• Track record of owning products from start to finish, collaborating effectively with developers and product managers.
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process.
• Passion for solving product problems while considering all facets of the user experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $135,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
