Staffing Solutions Enterprises, in partnership with our client, a leader in rubber extrusion systems, is searching for a qualified Sourcing Specialist to work out of their Cuyahoga Falls office. This is a 100% on-site role that will report directly to the VP of Finance.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and execute domestic and global sourcing strategy on cost, quality, lead-time, services • Assist in identifying and qualifying new supply sources, ensuring appropriate due diligence. • Research and evaluate suppliers based on various criteria, including price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, capabilities, capacities, reputation, and history. • Expand RFQ process to ensure relevant stakeholder, technical, and end-user reviews are incorporated, and recorded in the review and decision-making process.

• Develop and apply supplier scorecard methodology, establishing a cadence for business reviews, collaborate with Souring Team • Collaboratively perform make/buy analysis to help guide sound insourcing/outsourcing decisions.

• Manage complex commercial relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

• Liaise with Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to support timely production of customer systems • Develop risk mitigation strategies for: critical supplier performance, strategic safety stock levels, redundant suppliers.

• Understand, model, implement and hold business accountable for strict adherence to the Heico Code of Conduct and Compliance Manual, as well as all applicable laws

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree - Supply Chain / purchasing/ operations / business/ engineering

• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints for custom engineered components

• 3+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment

• Prior experience performing make/buy decisions that shaped supply chain strategy and produced demonstrated customer service improvements

• Procurement experience with plant equipment, machinery, and capital expenditures in a low volume high mix environment

• Experience in: project purchasing, contract negotiation and execution, and risk management
