OnsiteRaytheon Technologies is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to perform AF DCGS system administration, sustainment and integration functions across Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and Signals Intelligence systems (SIGINT). This requisition is open to candidates willing to work with a well-established and evolving team at our DSIL customer facility at Warner Robins AFB, GA for our U.S. Air Force customer.
Duties include but are not limited to providing system administration, support and integration of existing and new weapon system applications that are based upon Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems and associated hardware. Working knowledge and understanding of TMAN and CrewComm administration of system to include maintenance and system upgrades. Prospective candidates are not required to have existing knowledge of all IT systems and mission domains but strong experience in these areas is desired. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, possess excellent written and verbal skills and have the ability to work independently. The candidate will be expected to support and respond to customer needs with accuracy and efficiency. Candidate must have strong technical writing skills and able to document technical issues, communicate within the DCGS military community and work with customer and RTX PMO and Engineering Leadership Teams.
Active DoD Top Secret / SCI required.
Required Experience:
8+ years of related work experience actively monitoring, administering and troubleshooting complex GEOINT and/or SIGINT systems and sensors.
Required Certification - CompTIA Security + or higher DoD 8570 certification.
Effective oral and written communication abilities.
Strong teamwork skills – The ability to interact productively with end users, analysts, other Raytheon personnel, and customers in a diverse team setting.
Duties:
Support active mission operations using dedicated ground control systems to monitor sensor and ground health and status and quickly resolve issues.
Participate in integration activities by working closely with the customer, Raytheon in-plant engineering and other OEMs when new capabilities are fielded.
Provide direct mission support of DCGS operations technical issues on network system health/status and quickly resolve issues as they occur to deliver to the DCGS enterprise
Desired Skills:
UNIX (Solaris or Linux) and Microsoft Windows system administration
Software development methods (shell scripts, JavaScript, Python, PHP, C/C++, C#, Java, XML, HTML, etc.).
Administer VMware (containers, storage and resources) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.).
Experience with military SIGINT domain to include U-2, Global Hawk, MQ-1 and MQ-9 sensors and Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) architectures.
Sybase, Oracle, MySQL or MongoDB database system administration
Education:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations or, an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 yrs experience.
