The Master Data Management (MDM) Technical Lead is a Data Engineer responsible for applying MDM strategies requirements and policies aligned to the company’s digital and data vision and supporting an Customer data platform implementation on Informatica platform technologies in Microsoft Azure Cloud.

This individual will work with architects business analysts and IT counterparts to size requirements, design the solution, estimate tasks, analyze ETL/MDM mapping, perform troubleshooting as necessary. S/he will play a key role in Data Service delivery Design/Develop highly reliable ETL, MDM data services integrated with monitoring/logging utilities and implement near-real-time APIs on Azure platform.

The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter who will take ownership of technical delivery of projects and high-quality ETL/MDM based solutions. The person should be adept at solving diverse business problems by utilizing a variety of industry leading tools strategic solutions and methodologies. S/he should be comfortable working with data in varying technology platforms data types and formats.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead MDM requirement analysis sessions with business users

Coordinate MDM program activities for the customer producer location and prospect data domains

Conduct source system analysis and data profiling for lifecycle management.

Define measurable metrics and the minimal required attributes for each domain or subject area to support a robust and successful deployment of a MDM platform

Define requirements for data matching and merging rules survivorship criteria and data stewardship workflows that can be deployed in the endorsed MDM tool

Thorough understanding of deterministic and probabilistic matching methodologies and master data hierarchy management

Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture teams (data integration data architecture business intelligence) to develop and deliver MDM solutions.

Work with Architecture Review Board and Change Approval Board for technical reviews and approvals through the system development life-cycle.

Responsibilities include designing & developing ETL, MDM solutions and data service integration around Customer Data initiatives.

Participate in Product design and business application requirement sessions. Person is expected to be familiar with standard industry Data Integration frameworks. Knowledge of Insurance specific domain preferred

Work with Architects towards High Level Solution Design and translate to Low Level Design

Hands on Design and Development along with providing technical SME & coding best practice guidance to contracting resources both onsite and offshore

Conduct Design and Code reviews. Should be able to manage concurrent project implementations

Implement CI/CD processes

Adhere to Agile Methodologies

Engage in Production deployment release planning & ETL performance monitoring.

Engage with prod support teams for troubleshooting defects and any escalations thereof.

Be able to multi-task multiple projects and initiatives.

Collaborate with Architects, Project Managers, Business Users besides inter-department synergies.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience

Familiarity with enterprise data integration technologies and methods such as ETL data replication and data services

Experience with enterprise level data analysis and integration work and/or providing data focused systems integration solutions

Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems

Core ETL, SQL & MDM experience. Java and other latest technologies like Python are plus.

Experience with Cloud architecture (preferably Azure)

Knowledge of API architecture

Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and AutoSys.

Knowledge of Dev Ops --GitHub Jenkins and/or code management tools.

Experience to CI/CD implementation.

Able to document and communicate with upstream/downstream dependency teams effectively.

Proficient in SQL and data manipulation techniques

Experience in performance tuning and service monitoring

Understanding of AGILE processes and/or JIRA toolset

Basic understanding of Customer & Transaction Data
