Primary Function
The Press Operator operates machining equipment that cut, shape, drill, bore, or thread, metal parts according to specifications by performing the following duties. Drills and taps iron castings through the operation of drilling machinery such as the HMC, G&L Ram 630, and Fadals.

Shifts Available:
- 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2 pm - 10:30 pm, mandatory overtime (if needed) until 11:30 pm. Occasional Saturday overtime.
- 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday, 9 pm - 6:30 am
Hourly Rate of Pay:
- 2nd Shift - $19.65/hr and up
- 3rd Shift - $20.05/hr and up
Sign On Bonus: $1500 ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year. Must not be on corrective action for attendance to qualify.)

Responsibilities
- Set-up and operation of FADAL drills and automatic machining centers
- Make slight machine adjustments to complete high quality parts from the machine using CNC logic
- Tap drilled holes to the proper specifications indicated on the drawings
- Load and unload iron castings onto machine fixtures. This includes cleaning excess debris from the drilled castings
- Transport castings to assembly areas once completed
- Perform proper preventive maintenance, cleaning and care of the equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines and policies to create a safe working environment
- Report of production to the lead person and documents quantities on report logs in a timely manner
- Maintain the tool storage and Kanban system
- Control inventory and cycle counts in the department
- Assists with other department functions including copper cutting and defining, and HEX assembly
Qualifications
- HS Diploma and 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to speak with other employees of organization
- Experience and knowledge of Machining and/or the department’s operations and ability to assist with those functions
- Safety record, promotes a safe and organized work area
- Good communication skills via written and oral
- Mechanical ability. Use of simple math and measuring tools
- Ability to make logical decisions as to quality, sequence of operations, and setup. Good problem solving ability
- Ability to read work orders, schedules, code sheets, drawings, and translate into production environment
