The Clark School is searching for full-time and part-time, year-round Preschool Teachers and Aides who are enthusiastic about working with young children and dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment for all families. Responsibilities may include:

• Plan and prepare curriculum
• Develop caring and supportive relationships with all children and their families
• Support other team members
• Ensure safety of all children
• Communicate daily with Co-Teachers and the Director
• Monitor children’s progress
• Communicate with parents as needed
• Participate in supervision and team meetings
• Follow the Clark School philosophy
• Care for the space and school equipment
• Participate in recommended training programs, conferences and other aspects of professional development.
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Teacher - Preschool/Pre-kindergarten certified
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field, preferred
• At least 3-5 years of teaching experience with preschool/pre-kindergarten age children
• Must be able to work a shift between the hours of 7:00AM – 5:45PM
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check

• Classroom management skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of child development
• Ability to develop and present curriculum
• Experience teaching early childhood in a supervised setting
• EEC certification
• Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
• Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
• Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
