American Child is looking for a toddler teacher to join our staff of childcare professionals at our Shreveport location and a two's teacher at our Greenwood location.

Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. They are highly qualified childhood educators who are able to use their creativity and curriculum guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.
We have a strong emphasis on Early Childhood Education and want someone to join our team who also holds Early Childhood Education in high regard.

You will be working with another teacher. You will have 14 children ages 1-3 in your

classroom.

Responsibilities will be:
Meet the individual needs of the children.
Keep children safe, happy and clean at all times.
Help with potty training.
Follow lesson plans.
Participate in staff and training meetings.
Help design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
Present expectations that are appropriate to the children's age and developmental level.
Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
Build teamwork.
Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (will receive training)
Use Teaching Strategies Gold (will receive training)
Be observed by state representatives using the CLASS tool (will receive training)
Be committed to continuing education.

Benefits include 8 paid holidays and 1 week paid vacation after 1 year of service. Pay is dependent upon education and experience.
