Lead Teachers work 40 hours a week – Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

As a Preschool Lead Teacher (internally known as an Early Education Lead Teacher), you will foster essential growth, nurture curiosity, and build genuine relationships while supporting and leading the staff at your program. You will cultivate a warm and inclusive classroom environment while teaching foundational life skills using effective tools, strategies, and techniques to prepare children for school readiness. What are the details?

  • Mentor, train, and guide all teachers within the Early Education center.
  • Manage teacher schedules and expectations. This includes tracking absences and performance standards ensuring they meet and exceed state licensing and Texas Rising Star requirements.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new families by facilitating tours of the center.
  • Welcome new families into the program with a parent packet of information.
  • Manage confidential records on individual children, including daily observations, activities, meals served, medications administered, and more
  • Lead daily communication with all program families via a virtual platform, including child updates, photos, and any other child-specific information.
  • Support events for parent engagement.
  • Provide care and quality interactions for children ages 6 weeks (about one and a half months) to four years old, such as establishing schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, and changing diapers.
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, clean environment, including cleaning classrooms and equipment and disinfecting toys.
  • Develop respectful and dynamic relationships with families and staff.
  • Distribute snacks following sanitation, USDA, and CCR guidelines
  • Build confidence with a special emphasis on social-emotional development, impulse control, and social skills.
  • Maintain required records relating to the Early Education Program.
  • Responsible for the safety of the children within the Texas Child Care Regulation directives.
  • Enforce safety and security standards for children and visitors.
  • Attend required staff development and team meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, you are a minimum of 21 years old, and have a High School diploma or GED.
    • An Associate degree with 2 years of experience in early childhood is preferred.
