General Summary of Job Duties
This person will be supporting the back of the house and all our various restaurants. The candidate selected for this position will be reporting to the Garde Manger Manager.
Essential Job Function and Duties
- Be responsible for preparing menu items as directed by the recipes provided by the Sous Chef and or Executive Chef.
- Create all delightful stir fry dishes.
- Be responsible for making sure your work area is well stocked with all sauces, fresh veggies, and meats to create a variety of wok recipes.
- Be responsible for quality and proportion size.
- Ensure that the quality and presentation of food products meet company standards.
- Work at least one station, maintaining the highest quality in finished product.
- Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables.
- Ensure kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are maintained.
- Ensure that no food leaves the kitchen without a ticket, including manager’s meals.
Skills, Education and Other Requirements
- Prior experience working with a wok, prepping and cooking is a plus but will be trained.
- Ability to maintain clean personal hygiene.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to successfully work in fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of Asian dishes is a plus.
- Must have job related tools.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
