Precision Ag Solutions Specialist will facilitate new income streams based around information management and precision ag practices that improve our client/owner's bottom line by increasing their return on investment while keeping a mindful eye on environmental quality. Maintain client relationships. Provide continuing education to the Seed Solution Specialist's, Agronomy Specialist and Client's about precision management strategies that improve grower revenue.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following:
- Communicate the application of Precision Ag (PA) techniques and Information Management reports directly with Agronomy Specialist.
- Communicate effectively with the client to establish needs and new opportunities.
- Assist with facilitating multiple Information Management educational meetings for staff and clients.
- Assist with SciMax newsletter.
- Support team in knowledge and information sales.
- Review Key Client contacts regularly.
- Achieve individual sales and financial goals.
- Develop an action plan for the assigned area.
- Be a leader in the marketing of NEW Cooperative's intellectual properties.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the Credit Policy and maintain commitment to the collection of all past due accounts.
- Educate clients and fellow employees on how NEW Cooperative really is "Your Partner in the Field".
- Perform other assigned duties with minimum supervision from supervisor.
- Work hours needed to complete appropriate tasks.
- Maintain the image of NEW Cooperative. Inform all company personnel of the importance of portraying a professional image of company facilities, equipment and personal appearance.
- Grow and Develop relationships with key partners.
- Attend assigned educational meetings and trainings.
Position Requirements:
- Licensed and insurable to drive.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales of agricultural products or precision ag practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
- Good computer skills along with working on multiple software platforms.
- Strong desire to improve the financial position of both the client and SciMax.
- Strong oral and written communications and negotiation skills, required.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, and well-organized.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned territory.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
- Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of organization.
- Possesses problem solving capability and understands the operational processes.
