Job Objectives: The Portfolio Sales Manager position is responsible for managing the leasing staff and overseeing all sales functions; providing an excellent sales experience to all prospects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Manages all aspects of prospect experience from lead through application approval
  • Oversees the day-to-day sales efforts of Leasing Consultants responsible for leasing apartments
  • Manages occupancy in conjunction with General Managers
  • Manages personnel throughout their employment lifecycle that includes career planning and development, accountability and performance management, and recognition
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • Proven track record of strong sales management
  • Ability to supervise staff of five or more associates
  • Excellent sales and customer service experience
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Valid driver license and automobile insurance
  • Ability to read and write English; speak English and understand spoken English
  • Ability to utilize a personal smart device for apps related to property operations and communication
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and property management software

The salary range for this position is $106,000.00 - $159,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $106,000.00 - $133,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
