Plant WD Sew On Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shift
Position Overview
Position Overview
Accurately sew rolls of carpet together at the front of the finishing line keeping an ample supply
of carpet available for coating.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remove plastic wrap off roll of carpet.
Clip any loose strings.
Remove plastic/paper cores from roll cradle.
Cut off defective carpet from end of roll.
Operate seamer to sew rolls of carpet together.
Operate control panel in order to fill J-box.
Assemble box to dispose of defective carpet as well as carpet waste from sew-on.
Assist in secondary backing changes.
Keep J boxes full.
Communicate w/console operator if J boxes get low.
Assist in keeping work areas in a clean, orderly manner.
Miscellaneous duties as required.
