OB TITLE: Pilot Training Scheduler
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: VP of Training
FLSA: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Scheduler assists in developing and executing New Hire, Recurrent and Upgrade pilot training schedules and pilot travel arrangements (including hotel & rental cars). This position is required to monitor training operations daily and ensure the accuracy of scheduled events and assigned resources.
This position may require work outside normal office hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
- Use company software systems to develop and maintain training schedules.
- Make real-time adjustments to the training schedule as needed.
- Help implement new tracking systems for initial and recurrent training.
- Coordinate with others to ensure travel arrangements are made for all training, including flights, hotels, and rental cars.
- Effectively communicate company travel policies to pilots and ensure travel policies are followed.
- Communicate schedules and any changes to pilots and other impacted.
- Respond to calls and email regarding pilot training schedules.

Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality in all areas.
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate succinctly and effectively across all levels of the organization .
Professional in appearance and manner; courteous in all interactions .
Detail-oriented and self-motivated; able to work and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- One (1) year of applied experience with analytics and/or scheduling preferred.
- Prior use of crew scheduling/tracking systems; experience with AIRMAX and/or SKEDFLEX, a plus.
- Experience in airline or cargo scheduling preferred.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Miscellaneous Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.- Computer, office equipment, phone skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
- Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by company and/or airline regulations.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
