Qualifications
- Preferred (2) two years related work experience and/or B.A or B.S in accounting and/or appropriate business management experience.
- Ability to utilize technology including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedure manuals. Follow directions and satisfactorily carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Twelve months. Salary to be based on the Board adopted Salary Schedule.
DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS
We are a small rural school district located 20 minutes east of Colorado Springs and 10 minutes east of Falcon, CO. We have over 500 students in grade Pre-K through 12. The district has three main school buildings: The Elementary School, which hosts students in Pre-K through 6thgrade; the Junior-Senior High School, with students in grade 7-12; and the Career Technical Education Facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The district is looking for a Business Manager to assist the Superintendent and Board of Education in ensuring all financial structures are compliant and of high quality
The Business Manager will report directly to the superintendent
The Business Manager will collaborate with building principals, supervisors, and the superintendent to assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and improvement of all financial budgets and expenditures throughout the District
The Business Manager is to ensure all state and federal level reports and data are compliant and timely
The Business Manager will lead the budget development conversation with the Board of
The Business Manager will supervise accounts payable, human resources, payroll and
The Business Manager will support the Board of Education
The Business Manager will ensure the successful and timely completion of the annual audit.
The Business Manager will stay up to date with financial trends within the school budget conversation, specifically planning for long range consequences of budget decisions
Supervises and Evaluates: Accounts Payable, Human Resource Admin Assistant, Payroll, Occasional district-wide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours
Major Areas of Responsibility and Duties Specific to this Job
Budget Development and Oversight
Evaluate and recommend improvements for daily operations
Prepare and publish all district financial reports, including financial transparency compliance
Maintain Fixed Assets and inventories
Supervise insurance decision making
Ensures the timely transfer of funds from taxing authorities to the District
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
