Lead Loan Documentation Specialist
Laurel Building, Barkley Campus | Hybrid Work from Home (minimum of 2 days in-office per week)
Bellingham, WA
Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm | 40 hours per week
A Day in Your Life at Peoples Bank:
As a Lead Loan Documentation Specialist, you will be assisting in the preparation and processing of all loan documents and assuring the documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with Peoples Bank policy. In addition, you will act as the liaison between loan origination, the commercial banking groups, credit administration, and other departments as needed. You will be responsible for general department oversight in the absence of the loan management team.
Your Primary Responsibilities Would Include:
- Primarily supporting commercial loans and will spend majority of time in this area.
- Providing support to Loan Officers and their Assistants as needed.
- Reviewing commercial document request packages for accuracy and completeness in adherence to Bank Policy prior to loan documents being prepared.
- Directing assignment of document requests to senior loan processors.
- Acting as a liaison between loan origination, commercial banking groups, credit admin and other departments as needed.
- Performing commercial loan quality control reviews prior to loan documents being released.
- Identifying processes where efficiencies can be gained, those which present risk of loss or risk of failure to meet regulatory requirements and make recommendations for change.
- Ensuring compliance with internal audit and control procedures, including participation in audit process as needed.
What You Bring to the Team:
- You have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of commercial production or documentation experience.
- You may have 2 years or more supervisory experience.
- You are proficient in Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- You have knowledge of commercial loan documentation, loan policies, processes and procedures.
- You have demonstrated effective leadership abilities.
- You work with minimal supervision and have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills including professional etiquette and service mentality.
- You are skilled at business communication, both verbal and written.
- You have a strong professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality.
- You can travel to other Peoples Bank locations and off-site for meetings and/or training as required.
- You have the ability to model the Peoples Bank Mission, Vision, and Values.

Minimum to Maximum
$25.28 per hour - $37.92 per hour
