      Position Summary
      One temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant position available in English.
      Start Date
      Position available on or after June 1, 2023 and ending on or before August 31, 2023. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.


      Job Description/Duties

      Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Perform essential editing and design tasks for online journal.
      • Collaborate with staff on editorial and design decisions including vetting submissions and formatting literature and art for digital publication.
      • Assist with organizing, planning, and marketing virtual events and community projects.
      • Lead, as necessary, in assigned publishing tasks and projects.
      • Assist in establishing and maintaining a professional publishing virtual environment that interacts with the community.
      • Assist in creating new opportunities to enhance literary and arts engagement on campus.
      • Assist in planning and organizing future publishing tasks and projects.

      Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates enrollment as an English undergraduate or graduate student.
      • Demonstrates previous publishing experience.
      • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

      Salary Range

      $15.50 per hour

      Clery Act Disclosure
