Wellcome Manor Family Services , Garden City, MN. Wellcome Manor Family Services is a drug and alcohol residential treatment center for women with children. Wellcome Manor is located just a few miles South of Mankato, MN. Wellcome Manor is looking for a full time Peer Recovery Specialist who is currently in recovery themselves.
- A Peer Recovery Specialist * is a person in recovery who is willing to sharing their experience strength and hope. PRS remove barriers and obstacles to recovery by connecting recoverees with recovery support services, building recovery capital, assisting with individualized recovery options and serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking recovery. PRS effectively helps maintain recovery beyond early recovery while transitioning into the everyday environment through the use of peer support services. Peer to peer support strengthens the recovery of both the PRS and the recoveree. The following is a list of key job duties that are expected from the Peer Recovery Specialist. The Peer Recovery Specialist reports directly to the Counselor Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must be 2 years in recovery.
- Have current PRS Certification or be able to obtain and maintain PRS Certification within 1 year of being hired. (Wellcome Manor offers/pays for)
- Understand and establish professional boundaries with clients and coworkers
- Pleasant and outgoing disposition
- Flexibility in accepting work assignments as needed.
- Able to handle sensitive situations in a calm, professional manner.
- Able to pass a MN DHS Background Study.
- Basic computer skills, ability to conduct resourceful information via Internet
Hours :
40 hour work week. Hours are flexible to meet the needs of the clients. Hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm but may include weekend and evening hours.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
