Income Property Management is seeking to hire a part-time Peer Mentor for the affordable community of Beech Street Apartments in NE Portland, OR. The Peer Mentor will be responsible for being a presence at the property to report any incidents, support residents, and walk the property to ensure common areas are presentable. The Peer Mentor will also be responsible for working with Resident Services at Beech Street.

The ideal Peer Mentor will have experience in recovery treatment, runs onsite AA/NA meetings and offers support and guidance to residents in crisis.

It is required to live onsite as the Peer Mentor. You will be provided a one-bedroom apartment. Water, sewage, garbage, and parking will be paid by the property.

Property: Beech Street Apartments (NE Portland)

Workdays: Flexible schedule, up to 10 hours a week. 1-2 hours a day.

Hourly Rate: $15.75/hr

Additional Compensation: $25.00 cell phone stipend amount

Responsibilities of the Peer Mentor


  • Be present on the property
  • Must remain sober at all times and is subject to random drug/alcohol screening along with other occupants of their unit and guests
  • Provide information regarding incidents to Property Manager
  • Report any residents who may be violating the tenets of their lease or Drug and Alcohol-Free Addendum
  • Requests from Property Manager regarding incidents should be responded to by the following business day.
  • Maintain impartial, unbiased, and professional relationships (not friendly or familial) with residents, guests, vendors and staff
  • Required to spend one hour of the scheduled five working days walking the property and cleaning grounds, can be up to seven hours if no other duties are required that week. This involves picking up garbage and debris from both inside and outside the building, cleaning up messes, garbage, and common area restrooms.
