Job description
The Payroll Processor is responsible for supporting the financial information for benefit administration on a weekly basis for both bi-weekly and weekly payrolls. The payroll processor will be the backup for both the office and factory payroll and be responsible for processing payroll with accuracy and in a timely manner meeting weekly deadlines, while also performing before and after audits through reporting.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review and audit team members benefit deduction amounts for accuracy.
- Provide benefit deduction information for all final checks to payroll.
- Apply all benefit deduction changes to paychecks for all team members on a weekly basis.
- Daily factory attendance within a UKG Time & Attendance software.
- Payroll file maintenance for pay rate changes, leave of absence, terminations, and any other changes that are affecting payroll for that week.
- Processing weekly payroll from beginning to end using UKG payroll software.
- After payroll auditing using reporting, including auditing of benefit deductions.
- Check new team members records for correctness (rate of pay, taxes, etc.).
- Answer HR phones (shared tasks among HR Team Members, assigned shifts).
- Answer email and phones calls regarding payroll and benefit inquires.
- Support wellness initiatives through supporting and participating in activities.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- This position offers a blend of both on-site work at our corporate office and a work from home option.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Associates’ degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
- One or more years of related experience required.
- Five or more years related experience is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to handle sensitive, highly confidential information.
The hours for his position are 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday OR 6:30am - 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday.
