Job description
The Payroll Helpdesk Attendant is an important part of the overall IT Helpdesk team, ensuring all payroll calls are answered and handled accurately in accordance with call metrics set for the department. This role provides payroll related information, guidance and support to all managers and employees.
Salary Range: $41,500 to $53,680 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound payroll support calls and emails assisting managers and employees with questions related to payroll discrepancies, vacation balance, wage statements and W2’s
- Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Compensation and IT on complex payroll issues and procedures relating to payroll, time and attendance, and/or leave issues and research
- Ensure and maintains strict confidentiality of employee data and information
- Provide exceptional customer service to support questions from employees and HR Service Desk regarding Payroll and HR.
- Attend meetings and training as required to remain current on processes and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting/Business/Finance, a corresponding level of experience may be acceptable.
- Experience with automated payroll processing applications and software required
- Data extraction and manipulation experience using various tools, and Microsoft Excel skills required
- Ability to recognize basic procedural issues as they arise and escalate to the appropriate level
- Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills, and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work as a team member, organize work activities, maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of the organization, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and multiple demands
Preferred Requirements:
- Knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations, and procedures
- Detailed payroll and or accounting knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM
- Clear and concise written and verbal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Maintain and implement an innovative approach to solving problems
