SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential Functions of the Nurse Aide Transport Escort revolves around serving “on call” from the Transport Service. Employees will be dispatched in response to requests for the transport or escort of inpatients from any area within complex. Patients may be ambulatory, on stretchers, or on wheelchairs.
Assists in performing related duties to specialty areas as assignment.

General Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Transport patients per EPIC order to and from various designated locations in hospital, following established operating policies and procedures
• Operates transport equipment to move or escort patients to and from various hospital areas, as directed, following established operating policies and procedures
• Transfers deceased patients to the hospital morgue in accordance operating policy and procedures and release of decedents to funeral home/OCME
• Respond to emergency codes
• Perform messenger functions: pick up & deliver blood, blood gases, medications, laboratory specimens and mail
• Infection prevention: Complying with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and equipment disinfection
• Outpatient / Inpatient Transportation:

Salary: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
