Job description

PURPOSE:

The Parts Runner assists the Service and Parts Department personnel by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Deliver parts to Technicians

• Help maintain the appearance of the Parts Department.

• Pick up and/or deliver parts to designated accounts when instructed by the Parts Management

• Ensure the cleanliness of the Parts Department

• Create, monitor and track all returns and cores shipped from Technicians and outside shops.

• Must be friendly, professional and efficient when working with customers and co-workers

• Complete training courses as required by Mercedes-Benz USA
• Restock fast moving parts daily
• Record DOT Numbers on tires
• Help with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to body shop technicians.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Monday- Friday work week with some Saturdays required.
• Entry level position with advancement career path available
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent

• One year of experience in an automotive Parts Department is a Plus

• Maintain a high level of professional personal appearance and conduct

• Ability to collaborate with others

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of dealership's computer systems

• Must have a valid driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record

• Must be insurable

• Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity'
