Regional Parts Manager – Southern Operations
Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a Regional Parts Manager to join its team in the Bondurant, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Sioux City, IA, East Moline, IL area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the following processes for the Southern Operations Parts Departments. Manage all direct report personnel, P&L performance & budgeting, department initiatives and improvement projects, inventory, stock & surplus control, warehouse operations/functions, and critical order expediting process/functions.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Southern Branch Parts Departments.
- Manage all direct report personnel.
- P&L performance & budgeting.
- Department initiatives and improvement projects.
- Warehouse operations/functions and critical order expediting process/functions,
- Point person for all parts transactional problems, resolutions & process questions for the region.
- Manage regional vendor consignment inventory and related transactions.
- Manage, direct and process part master (record) maintenance as required for the region.
- Assure parts A/P invoices are completed correctly and done in timely manner.
- Surplus & Obsolescence management.
- Responsible for executing all vendor OIE, SIE and all surplus returns locally and in concert with corporate returns & directives.
- Responsible for collection of aging/outstanding vendor return credits.
- Manage Price File updates for Vendors assigned to Southern Ops.
- Maintain Master Vendor List.
- Conduct annual physical inventory.
- Provide support during inventory counts.
- Maintain corporate & branch records of counts & variances.
- Other Projects as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong Leadership, People Management & Communication Skills.
- Strong data management and analytical skills including data query ability and practical experience using Excel.
- Strong understanding of inventory control theories, reorder points, order quantities, lead times and general parts inventory control KPI’s. (turns, fill rates, MOH, surplus)
- Thorough understanding of parts transactions and their related financial & G/L accounting impacts.
- Transactional expertise including – parts sales, inventory adjustments, dealer exchange programs, core charges, purchase orders & receipts, consignments, part manufacturing and general part master maintenance.
- Shipping & receiving procedures and process flow.
- Thorough understanding of physical inventory count process.
- Ability to prioritize and organize.
- Travel between branches and to venders as needed, is expected. Less than 1 week per month.
