Full Time Preschool Assistant

We have an immediate opening for a Full Time Teaching Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate must enjoy working with young children, exhibit patience and love, energetic to keep up with our preschoolers and willing to assist us to provide a safe and loving environment for all of our preschoolers to thrive. Previous preschool experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. In addition, we are looking for a person who has great communication skills and a willingness to assist in all aspects of keeping our preschool in compliance.

We are a faith and play based, well-established preschool.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 6 E.C.E Units - Completed
• Must pass a background check (LiveScan)
• Proof of Immunizations (Negative TB Test, MMR, Tdap) including yearly flu vaccination
• Proactive individual who is willing to step in wherever he/she is needed
• If hired, must be willing to complete Sexual Harrasment Training, Mandated Reporting Training and be CPR trained.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support teaching staff in the classrooms and the playground
• Supervision and care of preschoolers at all times
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment at all times.
• Preparation of daily snack prep, snack delivery and kitchen clean-up.
• Daily interaction with preschoolers to ensure they are safe, loved and nurtured at all times.
• Ability to work as a team player to ensure that our facility is kept clean and safe including daily disinfecting.
• Assist teachers with cot set up for nap time.
• Provide first aid and comfort to preschoolers.
