Position Overview:
The Water Safety Instructor organizes provides quality swimming lessons and water safety instruction at Abacus School in Leander. Small group swim lessons (6 children max) are provided to children ages 3 years old to 11 years old.
The goal of the WSI is to engage our children in the development of swimming skills in addition to the following:
- Report to work 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the first lessons
- Check pool chemicals and maintain chemical log
- Create swim lesson plans for teaching different skill levels
- Clean and maintain pool areas before and after each shift
- Understand in-water incident policies and procedures
- Fill out swim progress reports for all student
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Current Certifications in or willingness to become certified in:
- Water Safety Instruction
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
