POSITION PURPOSE
Veolia Water is seeking applicants for a Regulatory Specialist at its Pittsburgh, PA location - Beaver County is ideal. The position will provide support to water, wastewater and environmental consulting operations within the region. This position is a permanent part-time role with a flexible 8 am to 4 pm schedule to meet a 32 hour work week. Full benefits, vacation and bonus.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Distribution and tracking of Monthly Safety Topics; Monthly Near Miss reporting; Maintain E3 safety issues and tasks; OSHA 300 Logs.
- Environmental compliance-Distribute analytical data to operators and flag any issues, Address issues with contract laboratory, Manage Monthly sample verification sheets from operators; Track permit expirations; Assess permit changes and convey to operator and PM; Track monthly DMR compliance.
- Code and pay (on P card) monthly contract laboratory invoices.
- Keep operators and managers informed on Water and Wastewater regulations
- (pending and final).
- Complete annual VE reports- Seven (7) reports
- Complete monthly client operations reports(NSTMA, ETA, KUGI, Shippingport,).
- Water/Wastewater operator duties.
- Pinney Dock: Reports-Bi Annual Haz. Waste, Air Emissions, Title 5, ERP. Track operator training (Hazwoper, DOT Shipping,)
- Monthly DEP water withdrawal reports for NSTMA & Shippingport.
- Monthly DEP drinking water TRC for NSTMA, Airport & Shippingport.
- Update various Veolia health & safety documents- LOTO , PRCS , etc.done as needed.
- NPDES permit renewals as required by client.
- Annual Water Supply Report for NSTMA, Airport & Shippingport.
- Annual Consumer Confidence Reports for NSTMA & Shippingport.
- Any regulatory report required by PA DEP (Circuit Rider Plans – updates as changes made & Available Operator Reports done annually for both water & wastewater)
Education / Experience / Background
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
- A Minimum of 3-5 years of experience and strong knowledge of PADEP water and wastewater regulations is required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and independent individual with strong organizational skills.
- Ideal candidate will be confident and comfortable within a consulting atmosphere.
- Strong written and oral skills are required.
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
- PA Water and/or Wastewater License is preferred.
