Part-time Hourly Job Opportunity- Administrative Assistant
Office of Faculty Development, Diversity, and Engagement (OFDDE)

Schedule: up to 20 hours a week
Term: 9 month temporary
Hourly Compensation: $23.50 -$35 depending on experience
Location: Stanford University main campus and some hybrid opportunity

Overview
The Office of Faculty Development, Diversity, and Engagement (OFDDE) has an immediate opening for a contingent (9 months, temporary, up to 20 hours per week) administrative assistant to work with the Executive Director on tasks and projects related to the support of faculty programming. Position will work during the academic year (Sept. – June) and will also have time off during the University's winter break period. We can offer flexible scheduling to accommodate other needs.

Core Duties:
Assist in coordinating, planning, and staffing of faculty events
Register attendees, deliver materials to the event site, transport materials back to the office after
the event, store and organize materials
Schedule, coordinate and work with caterers, facilities, staff, and event personnel
Create badges, tent cards, signs, and files for talks, receptions, meetings, and other events
Coordinate speakers and guests

General office duties
Schedule meetings, coordinate Executive Director's calendar as needed
Create and update general office documents
Seek and maintain research articles, publications, and resources related to faculty development

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED certificate
Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of experience in related field (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have basic computer skills, including MS applications (Word, Excel , PowerPoint and Outlook)
Experience navigating online environments and learning new software
Strong organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail is a must
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills with a diverse population
Ability to complete duties proactively and work under varying deadlines
