Part Time Dispatcher
Job description
Your responsibilities
We are looking for a Part Time First Shift Dispatcher, two days a week. Monday and Tuesday 6am to 6pm. You will coordinate and direct the movement of trucks and freight in order to make pickups and deliveries in an efficient and timely manner. We are looking for someone that will represent our company in a positive manner by providing customers with quick, precise, helpful, courteous and professional customer service.
- Records all information for proper billing.
- Make assignments of drivers and trucks. Calls in extra drivers when needed to handle unexpected volume.
- Maintain radio and phone contact with trucks, receive and dispatch aid in response to any emergency needs for assistance or repairs.
- Communicate with all Drivers, customers, and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
Your profile
- 1-2 years administrative experience required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with MS Excel and Word
- Ability to work without supervision
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and at a fast pace.
