Under the direction of Parking Manager, the Parking Attendant has the following duties:

• Directs guest, commercial and employee vehicles for orderly and efficient parking on resort property
• Expedites safe flow of traffic with minimal congestion
• Scan and verify guest, commercial and employee vehicles for appropriate reservation credentials
• Resolve issues as they arise to keep traffic flowing efficiently
• Expedite safe flow of traffic with minimal congestion

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility

• Interact with guests, employees and vendors in a pleasant manner
• Provides information for guests to assist them while navigating in the resort.
• Operates 2-way radio for communication with supervisors and co-workers.
• Directs vehicles to parking in assigned lots.
• Efficiently scans parking reservations

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Specific Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (driving positions require 21 years and older).

Skills & Knowledge

• Must demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, simple arithmetic and personal interaction. Must be able to use and 2-way radio and follow appropriate operating
• Must be able to occasionally work and make decisions without direct supervision, if conditions warrant.

Work Schedule
Shifts:

• 7:00AM - 11:00PM on weekdays. 7:00AM - 1:30PM on weekends.
• Shifts vary depending on business levels.
• Weekend and holiday availability required

Working Conditions

• Must be able hand stress from steady flows of traffic and complete tasks.
• May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
• Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
• Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
