Overview:
Provide support and analysis to attorneys, Procurement, and other business professionals on commercial contracts for a fortune 200 company with some of the most iconic brands! Have a bachelor’s degree? Have three years of legal or paralegal experience in contract law? If so, we want to speak with you!

We are currently seeking a Paralegal, Contract Law to join our team in Richmond, VA. or we are open to remote work arrangements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist the Procurement organization and in-house counsel in preparing and finalizing commercial agreements with outside vendors and suppliers.
  • Assist the Procurement organization and in-house counsel in reviewing commercial agreements provided by outside vendors and suppliers and incorporating corporate policies and contract requirements into those agreements.
  • Proofread, edit, and fact-check commercial agreements for accuracy and consistency.
  • Clearly explain agreement terminology to the Procurement organization and other interested parties in simple, everyday language.
  • Assist in-house attorneys in training the Procurement organization and business professionals on agreement terms and negotiating tactics and processes.
  • Assist in-house counsel in managing outside counsel review, as needed, and serving as a liaison between outside counsel and the Procurement organization.

What we want you to have:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably working directly in contract law and in contract preparation and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of current contractual language and terminology.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, customer complaints, and internal client concerns.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced workload independently and demonstrate strong leadership potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a strong mastery of the English language.
  • Clear adherence to company policies and Procurement procedures.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation best practices.
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities and commitment to personal and professional growth.
