Talis Groups’ client a Louisville law firm located downtown, seeks a Litigation Paralegal. HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES:

  • Prepare records, review and prepare exhibits, analyze medical records, trial preparation, and trial support
  • Search information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case information
  • Summarize transcripts; assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documents
  • Review, analyze and organize document productions
  • Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review
  • Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses
  • Prepare letters, pleadings and other documents from tapes, as well as edit, format and proofread a variety of documents
  • Maintain calendars to track deadlines and status of cases; coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and conference calls

Highlighted Requirements:

  • Paralegal Degree or Certificate preferred
  • 2-5+ years’ experience as a defense litigation paralegal
  • Must have experience in medical malpractice defense
  • Good computer skills required.
  • Previous experience requesting medical records
  • Prefer someone with strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
