General Liability and First Party Property Defense firm is seeking a qualified paralegal for a full-time position. Office located in Fort Lauderdale, but fully remote work will be considered based upon the candidate. Experience in the areas of personal/bodily injury and construction defect litigation is a plus. Job Duties:

• Provide paralegal related support for at least two attorneys.
• Draft, format and serve legal documents, including discovery demands and discovery responses.
• File legal documents through the court e-portals.
• Process HIPAA-compliant authorizations and obtain medical records via various third-party record retrieval companies.
• Provide trial support, including coordination of witnesses and organization and preparation of exhibits.
• Organize and maintain case files and documentation through electronic file management system.
• Respond to inquiries from and interact with clients, counsel and witnesses.
• Record billable hours.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP), Certified Paralegal (CP) or NALA designation
• 2+ years of experience as a paralegal.
• Experience with Florida’s electronic court systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and complete tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work efficiently with others while independently managing workload.

Must possess a positive attitude and be personally motivated to succeed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
